About Linda

I began my professional career on the east coast with a Bachelor of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition. I took the creative route and landed a job working for a Westchester, New York new product and recipe development firm where I wrote recipes for everything from farmed Irish salmon to Cool Whip bunny cakes. While developing a line of desserts for a New York restaurant, I had an epiphany (the first of many): I wanted to create beautiful, delicious desserts. So, from there I studied with several renowned pastry chefs, worked a few upscale restaurants and soon afterwards opened a bakery in Danbury, Connecticut.

Ironically, at about the same time, I discovered a passion for fitness. After enduring locker room comments ("Who smells like cake?") over my conflicting interests, I decided to drop the bakery business and became a full-time personal trainer. I became certified with the American Council on Exercise, the National Academy of Sports Medicine and, most recently, the American College of Sports Medicine, and have worked as an in-home trainer since 1995.
